Football people



Association ,,Alternativi International” inspired by the Football People movement Inspired by a social movement of over 100,000 people on 22 of October Association ,,Alternativi International” will join the Football People action weeks and organise a football tournament to address the issue of rasing nationalism among local youth and rasing hatred and hate speech and raise awareness on the need of intercultural dialogue and tolerance. The Fare Football People weeks present a unified stand against all barriers that exclude people and communities. Between 06 and 20 October grassroots groups, professional football and thousands more on social media, will celebrate the power of football to combat discrimination and run a series of activities, including dedicated matches, educational workshops, football tournaments and more, to promote social inclusion and raise awareness.

“The Football People action weeks are a time for everyone involved in football to stand together for the same goal: to bring about a positive change through football. “The weeks are now the biggest social change activity in sport and we are happy to count on Association ,,Alternativi International” to help us take further the message and celebrate with us” said Piara Powar, Fare Executive Director. In 2016, over 2,000 activities were organised in more than 60 countries. With over 100,000 people directly participating.

Association ,,Alternativi International” and Fare encourage all groups engaged in antidiscriminatory actions to get involved in the Football People weeks.
