B.A.B.Y - Bringing Alternatives to Blagievgrad Youth

 

The project “B.A.B.Y - Bringing Alternatives to Blagoevgrad Youth” hosted 2 volunteers from Georgia and Latvia in the region of Blagoevgrad between 01/10/2012 and 01/07/2013.

The main activities of the project were connected with representing alternative and relatevely productive ways of leisure time activities to the local youth, by suggesting different clubs of interests and building up intercultural dialogue through art and culture. Those activities positively influenced their personal and professiona skill, promoted tolerance and active citizenship through non-formal education.

The project stimulated the intercultural learning process, made the local youth aware of other cultures and available opportunities, such as an EVS.

Subthemes of the project were European citizenship, delivering information to the youth and working with people with fewer opportunities, amongst with economical, geograpfical and social difficulties.
