YE "THE ART OF CITIZENSHIP" - TUNISIA

Association "Alternativi International" is looking for 5 motivated Bulgarian participants to take part in a youth exchange in Medenine, Tunisia !

About the project:

The youth exchange project “The Art of Citizenship” has been developed in partnership between the associations: “Temzday-Morocco” based in Chtouka Ait baha (Morocco), Association “Alternativi International” based in Blagoevgrad (Bulgaria), and Fudacia “RAiDO” Miedzynarodowe Centrum Wsparcia Mlodziezy Dorolysh based in Warsaw (Poland). The mobility will take place in Medenine, Tunisia from the 20th to the 2yth May 2016 (travel days included) and it will last six days. Four young people between 18-25 years old and a group leader, per country, are foreseen to be involved in the exchange. Gender balance will be guaranteed.

The purpose of this meeting is designed to develop the skills of young participants in order to integrate and develop common practices of active citizenship and raise awareness of democracy, through arts of the Euro-Mediterranean region. It is a space for discussion, reflection and development of artistic expressions of youth through art. During six days, participants will attend workshops on topics such as citizenship, democracy, the active participation of young people using arts (paintings, photos, videos, theatre, music, etc.), Intercultural evenings with national food and drinks, dances, traditions and cultures, visits to cultural and historic sites in the area. At the end of the exchange, a special event will be organized, where young people have the opportunity to show their work to the local community.

Specific objectives:

1- Acquire or improve participants' knowledge in the areas of democracy and active citizenship;

2- Increase knowledge of the traditions and cultures of the countries involved in the project through their crafts;

3- Strengthen awareness of the Euro-Mediterranean citizenship among young people;

4- Improve knowledge of foreign languages, especially French and English;

5- Develop interest on the application of non-formal methods for promotion projects in the arts;

6- Improve technical and digital skills of the participants

Financing body:

EuroMed Youth Tunisia

Maximum travel costs:

400 euros for participant from Bulgaria

Reimbursement:

Due to the rules of EuroMed youth Tunisia the hosting organization will be able to reimburse up to 80 participants travel costs and the other 20% will be own contribution of the participants.

Participation fee:

40 euro participation fee will be collected from each participant
