Association "Alternativi International" is looking for 4 motivated young people from Bulgaria to take part in a training course in Albania.


PROJECT DATES: 11 January- 19 January 2016


PLACE: Tirana, Albania


PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The project’s main objective is to develop youth worker competences in intercultural dialogue through the use of music in order to increase the quality of their work and strengthening the capacity of their organisations.

The project is set in the context of Erasmus+ Programme’s general objective (renewed framework for European cooperation in the youth field) as well as specific objectives of the Programme in the field of youth - improving the level of key competences and skills of young people.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

- promoting cultural diversity through music

- increasing the quality of youth service provision in partner countries

- mainstreaming intercultural dialogue in European youth projects

- strengthening Erasmus+ Youth partnerships, including between EU and South-East European countries

PARTICIPANTS PROFILE:


Eligible participants must be youth workers, youth leaders or volunteers in youth organisations, interested in intercultural dialogue, cultural diversity, intercultural learning and active citizenship. Good (spoken) English language skills required. Age range: 18-35.

REIMBURSEMENT:


Participants’ travel costs from their home city to Tirana will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ Programme rules

Summary of reimbursement rules:

  • PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY TICKETS before consulting the price/route with the organisers (you can only buy tickets once your application has been accepted by the Team)

  • The organisers will only reimburse travel costs from the partner country to Tirana, Albania up to the limits indicated in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide

  • Reimbursement will be done based on the EU Distance Calculator: http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/tools/distance_en.htm (distance is calculated as one-way journey, but the amount in the Programme Guide is for a return trip)

  • Participants are only allowed to travel to/from partner organisation countries (e.g. Serbian partners from Serbia, Turkish from Turkey etc.)

  • Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon presentation of all original tickets, receipt/invoices and boarding passes (including return tickets). Documents provided must clearly state date of purchase, route and means of travel, name of the passenger, method of payment and price paid. Documents in languages other than English will have to be translated by participants.

  • Participants will be asked to send the originals of all return documents and boarding passes. Under no circumstances will tickets be pre-paid (i.e. you need to present all return tickets during the project in order to be reimbursed – please buy all your tickets in advance).

  • Reimbursement will be done in EUR, regardless of the currency indicated on the ticket and receipt/invoice. Any tickets purchased in a local currency other than EUR, will then be converted and calculated according to the exchange rate of the month when the grant agreement for this project will be signed by the NA, as stated in the official European Commission web-site at http://ec.europa.eu/budget/inforeuro/index.cfm?Language=en,

PARTICIPATION FEE: 15 euro will be collected from each perticipant


HEALTH INSURANCE:


Health insurance will not be provided or reimbursed by the organisers. All participants are required to purchase health insurance individually.


ACCOMMODATION:


The course will be held in the capital of Albania, Tirana. Information about accommodation and working space:

  • Tirana, Albania’s capital, is located in central-western Albania, 35 km from the Adriatic Sea coast

  • Participants will be accommodated in a hostel situated in the Don Bosco district. It takes approx. 10 min. by bus or 20 min walk to the city centre

  • Participants will be accommodated in double and triple rooms with shared bathrooms.

  • Free Wifi is available at the hostel

  • Participants will accommodated in single-sex rooms; we will mix countries/nationalities so that participants can get to know each other better.

  • Meals will be served at the hostel (breakfast, lunch, dinner and two coffee and tea breaks). All dietary needs will be catered for (please note those in your application form)

  • The working space (training room) will be located in a community centre nearby (5 min walk)

  • Beds linen will provided

  • Please bring your own towels

Organisers will not provide any accommodation for additional stay in Albania. If participants plan to arrive before January 11 or depart after January 19, they are kindly requested to inform us and we will be glad help booking additional accommodation.

TRAVEL BUDGET LIMITS: 275 euro for Bulgarian participants.
