Football tournament "United youth against hate"

Association "Alternativi International” joined the largest social action campaign in sport, the Football People action weeks, to celebrate the power of football to bring people together and challenge social exclusion and discrimination.
The Fare Football People weeks took place between the 8th and 22 October across European football and included activities from the smallest grassroots groups to the largest European clubs. UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches on the 20, 21 and 22 October were dedicated to theme.
On 21 of October 2015 Alternativi International organized football match and a flashmob in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria to spread the message of no hate, tolerance, friendship and respect and fairness among people coming from different countries, religions and economic-status..
“We are delighted to be involved with association "Alternativi International” at this year’s Football People weeks. The grassroots movement is key to take the message of the action weeks further and help the core values of Fare reach the different communities” said Fare Executive Director Piara Powar.
Community groups, fans, professional and amateur clubs, national FAs and civil society groups from 50 countries organised over 2000 activities to tackle discrimination and celebrate diversity during the two weeks.
Georgi Kuzmanov, Vice-chairperson of association Alternativi International said: "It’s a great pleasure for us to be involved in the Europe- wide campaign and to have opportunity to spread the message of non- discrimination. The aim of the football tournament is to involve young people from different groups and to show the power of the football to unite them as well as to encourage the youngsters to say NO to DISCRIMINATION and RACISM.”
